Busse Design USA, Inc. Completes Cutting-edge Web Site For Leading Internet Broadcast Enabler, FastForward Networks
New Broadband Web Site Showcases Revolutionary Broadcast Network Infrastructure That Brings Added Scale, Quality And Profitability To Internet Broadcasting
EMERYVILLE, CA - May 2000 - Busse Design USA, Inc., a boutique interactive Web agency, today announced the debut of the completed FastForwardª Networks Web site. FastForward Networks provides a media networking platform for the distribution and management of audio and video broadcasting over the Internet. The two companies collaborated to build an interactive, information-rich Web site that conveys the power of Internet broadcasting through the use of animations, video, audio, dynamic data and unique graphics.
Busse Design's key challenge in this Web site design project was to visually display how FastForward has solved the problem of managing and distributing streaming media broadcasts over the Internet in a way that would be easily understood by FastForward's target audience: Content distributors and service providers. The Busse Design team achieved this through the use of 3D animations, referred to as Product Visualization Animations, that allow users to view the FastForward media networking platform as it is working. The animations were designed to highlight the primary benefits of the FastForward network architecture: Broadcast scalability and reliability, management and control, monetization of streams, enhanced viewer experience, and content peering.
"Busse Design was able to capture the essence of our solution by designing detailed visual animations in Macromedia's Flash that show how FastForward's scalable open architecture allows content distributors and service providers to deliver high-quality Internet broadcasts, while enabling them to provision and manage streams and support compelling revenue-generation capabilities and services," said Abhay Parekh, co-founder, president, and CEO of FastForward Networks. "We were very impressed with how well Busse Design was able to take a complex product and communicate its function and value in a way that is easily understood by a variety of audiences."
In addition to the Product Visualization Animations, Busse Design developed the Web site User Interface (UI) and overall look and feel of the FastForward site. The key objective of the site design was to visually communicate motion in order to reinforce the FastForward brand and give site visitors the virtual experience of Internet broadcasting. The Busse Design team used a combination of streaming video and audio, dynamic data and unique graphics to create a feeling of speed and movement that streaming content provides.
Forrester predicts that 33 million consumers will have broadband connectivity within 24 months. As broadband becomes a reality, more online users are demanding interactive content such as streaming audio and video. FastForward Networks has capitalized on this market opportunity with a networking platform that offers content distributors and service providers a level of scalability and reliability that has not yet been realized. With the FastForward's overlay architecture, millions of viewers can realize the power of Internet broadcasting.
"We were delighted to have the opportunity to partner with a category leader and technology innovator like FastForward Networks," said Jennifer Abbott Bulka, CEO of Busse Design USA, Inc. "Our expertise in Web design for broadband sites prepared us for the challenge of creating a Web site that visually articulates FastForward's innovative architecture and revolutionary approach to delivering broadband content over the Internet."
