Busse Design Helps ILOG Talk to a Wider Audience

Employs powerful visual metaphors to help communicate a technical story to C-level decision makers

The presentation communicates the essence of how ILOG changes the way companies make business decisions - the ILOG Effect - in a short, punchy and visually arresting sequence of visual metaphors. The corporate presentation has met with widespread enthusiasm from ILOG's sales group and customers, and has already been adapted for use in a variety of marketing and pre-sales settings.


When ILOG approached Busse Design to develop a corporate Flash presentation, the communications challenge of the project was readily apparent: while the benefits of ILOG's products are tangible, what ILOG's software actually does is highly technical.

ILOG has long been at the forefront of algorithm and rule engine development, creating the world's most high-performance decision engines and related business management and developer tools. ILOG's software components and how they work, independently and in concert, is difficult to articulate in non-technical terms. In order to educate the business decision maker and move that person toward actively considering its products, ILOG needed an online presentation that would quickly and effectively introduce and explain their products, services and solutions in a way that would emphasize the subsequent returns on investment in ILOG's technology.

Busse Design takes a user-focused approach
Busse Design worked with ILOG to refine the communication of the complex concepts surrounding their award-winning technologies. This task became the prelude to crafting the final blend of audio and visual representations used to articulate these ideas. Because ILOG had recently refreshed the guidelines for its corporate identity and related collateral, Busse Design was able to evolve and extend graphic and type treatments while remaining consistent with the overall look and feel of ILOG's existing corporate image.

The result is a highly polished and stylized presentation that supports ILOG's brand, tells the story of their software technologies for business rules, optimization and visualization efficiently and effectively - and drives potential customers to take advantage of ILOG's innovative solutions. The presentation is featured extensively on the ILOG corporate website, and has also been adapted for use at trade shows and other sales activities, including a direct mailer.
