Busse Design Mends the UI Design for a Press Ganey Application
Emeryville, CA 08.05 - 03.06 - Press Ganey's "eCompass", an online application which enables clients to view and analyze aggregated survey data, as well as provide suggestions for ways of improving service and patient satisfaction, was redesigned by Busse Design to provide users with an improved interaction experience, provide a more visually appealing and easy to use interface and incorporate the latest Press Ganey branding requirements/style guides. A key to the success of the eCompass redesign was making the interface much more intuitive and easy to use. New users often found the old interface to be cumbersome and difficult to navigate.
To ensure improved customer interface, Busse began with usability testing and contextual inquiry. After the information was gathered extensive collaboration between Press Ganey and Busse's information architects took place. Organizing the data and materials from the application into the most coherent visual path possible was a success.
Visual design and production were created to elevate the appearance of the application from generic and boring to a clean engaging presentation that still emphasizes functionality.
