Busse Design USA Redesigns Yardbarker's Information Layout and Provides a Professional Appearance

Emeryville, CA 10.06 - 03.07 - Yardbarker was an established site with specific goal: providing the most important sports information to those who want to know. Doing this easily and coherently was central to Yardbarker's success. Busse design was hired to streamline the sites information for improved usability and personalization capabililtes.

The sites original information was its heart, but as the site began to become more dynamic there was little room for growth with the old layout. Busse Design was conscious to save what was working from the original Yardbarker site, but provide forward thinking that would allow the company's site to grow into the future and incorporate potential developments.

Busse Design also utilized Yardbarker's preexisting design and used it as the inspiration for the new visual and brand identity. Working with color, font, scale, and redeveloping the logo, Busse Design provided Yardbarker with a sleek, simple, and streamlined designed that was not distracting and truly dynamic.

About Yardbarker
Yardbarker, Inc., based in Berkeley, CA, was founded in 2006 by a group of sports fans who happened to be experienced Internet professionals (with backgrounds at ESPN.com, Walt Disney Internet Group, Ofoto and eBay). We noticed an explosion in the amount of great sports content around the web -- on blogs, message boards, local newspaper sites, etc. So we built a service that makes it easy for sports fans to find and discuss the best stuff every day. The result is an alternative to the Big Guys' sites, filtered by fans, not editors. We're shaking up the online sports landscape. Welcome to Sports 2.0.
