Coraid

Coraid developed ATA over Ethernet (AoE), a software protocol that enables customers to easily set up and maintain their storage networks using commodity hardware. Coraid enlisted Busse Design’s help to improve lead generation from their website by organizing their products and solutions in an intuitive fashion, and making their resources easy to find.

Our first main deliverable was a Global Site Map, identifying the overall structure of the site, while highlighting opportunities for bringing in new leads. After the structure was set, we created UI Sketches of key templates of the site to provide a blueprint for the site’s layout. We then conducted an unmoderated remote usability test on the UI Sketches using Userlytics to ensure that users understood how to navigate the site, and could find the information they were looking for.

Once we locked the layout, we provided a distinctive visual design to give the Coraid website a more current and elegant look. Our designers established dark gray and white as the site’s core colors, and introduced a “digitized” color band throughout the site to add visual interest, while identifying specific colors for specific sections of the site. In the end, we provided production-quality HTML Templates that Coraid’s development team could easily import into Expression Engine, their content management system.
