Problem Evaluation & Human Factor Analysis
Based on client goals and requirements, and through our heuristic evaluation of the existing application, Busse Design identified principle areas in need of improvement Ñ system navigation, data/content presentation and visual design. Outlining these core areas of focus provided us with tangible objectives through each phase of our development process and also helped us to formulate recommendations specific to system functionality and feature enhancements.
Our Human Factors Task Analysis (HFTA) revealed two user types that would become the focus of our efforts Ñ business/marketing and technical users. By identifying the core set of tasks required for each user type and then focusing on functionality and key features for these users, we were able to provide more value to each individual in terms of both the application's intuitiveness and greater relevancy of the data.
