Concept Development
Because the LeapFrog Learning Guide needed to convey a large amount of detailed information efficiently and effectively while retaining the overall feel of the site, it was essential to create a visual metaphor that could easily integrate with product pages and the site as a whole. After exploring multiple concepts, a "player card" approach was selected as it allowed the most flexibility in content display while retaining a sense of playfulness. Information regarding skill sets are visually displayed on "cards" that are placed in context to comparative information regarding LeapFrog's product line. This allows site browsers to further educate themselves not only about LeapFrog's product offerings, but also on the importance of sequential progression through each development stage.
