Project Type: Network Systems Management Application
Project Duration: Eight Weeks
Challenge: Red Hat came to Busse Design for the launch of its enterprise network administration services application. The Red Hat Network (RHN) needed to be designed to accommodate many future service offerings, e-commerce, configuration tools and a web-based support portal.
Our Human Factors task analysis and user profiling exercise uncovered vast differences in core audiences, as well as a very "Linux-specific" set of user needs. Binding these differing realities into the RHN produced a very successful application and a very happy client. In fact, Red Hat calls the process their most successful vendor engagement ever.
