Problem Evaluation & Human Factor Analysis
Our Human Factor Task Analysis (HFTA) is designed to contextualize usability problems by accounting for differences in user types, environmental factors and other influences on the Qube's usability. HFTA revealed a single user type. Nearly all profiles were similar. Further, there was very little variation in environmental factors as the features of the Qube limit it to smaller installations.
While Qube users have a wide range of networking expertise, existing documentation left all users with a degree of confusion about steps within the set up process and functionality within the administrative application. By identifying the core set of tasks required for successful set up and configuration of the Qube, we were able to create user testing scenarios that helped identify as many usability issues as possible, across all of the appliance's interfaces and applications.
